Kind of surprised to see a goalie change when Sandstrom has played so well and they are so close to winning it all. Their coach took a risk inserting a guy, even if he was their veteran starter, into the lineup after an injury and layoff. Guess it worked out though.
Hey Bill, any chance that CSN Philly or TCN airs any of the Phantoms playoff games? |

Hawks/preds series is stunning. I guess that's why they play the games. Truly is a new season |

yup, for sure. Really didn't expect the Blues to race out to a 3-0 lead on the Wild either.

The stuff about Bob is certainly true. I am not sure if you meant the mood changed on him on here or elsewhere (twitter, etc), but I do think there is an obvious reason for what is said on here I think most people here still enjoy watching him succeed. |

The whole Columbus team, Bob included, has just come up really small against the Pens. Also I was really bummed to see the Rags win last night too, as I think whoever wins that series will likely take out the Sens and go right on to the conference finals. However, considering how much the Rags have struggled at home this year, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see the Habs take game 6 and send it back to Montreal for the deciding tilt. Either way, it's been a fun series to watch.
And, I'll just end with: GO PREDS!!!! They are, far and way, the team I'm rooting for.

I don't hate on Bob, but I do hate on folks who make the dopey Mason/Bob comparison and, by proxy, might make a snarky remark about Bob's Vezina being in a shortened season.
But otherwise, I can't imagine why Flyers fans would wish Bob ill will. It's not his fault they went out and signed Bryz and roadblocked his career in Philly. Wanting a trade out is perfectly understandable and he and his agents did Philly a solid by not whining to the press about wanting a trade. |

I don't know if is that they came out small, I felt like they had a game plan to rattle Crosby and Malkin, and when that didn't work, they really did not have a plan B. Flower standing on his head was not expected either...he is really playing right now as an audition for his next team.
Some of the hockey has been pretty darn entertaining, the sad part is that we don't have guys that can skate and grind like that for 60+ minutes...I would also say with the sample size I have seen from Ghost when he has been healthy, he is a guy in the playoffs that could be havoc to deal with...for me he gets closer to untouchable when you look at pairing him with Morin...his creativity is not something a team can stop in a 7 game series...just my thought though... |

I can't see Pens having trouble with anyone in the East. I am with you, I wouldn't mind seeing the Preds but I would also like to see the Blues do something. |

Comcast might. The home games are on the Allentown station channel 69. Not sure what channel that is on cable. I have an antenna. |

He's had a bit of a rocky working relationship with John Tortorella ever since the coach's arrival in Columbus. The 35-year-old left winger was often relegated to fourth-line duties this season. It will be interesting to see how the longtime Philadelphia fan favorite fits in the Blue Jackets' plans as they prepare for next season.
So, this is one way to build a skilled 4th line, amirite? |

Habs were absolutely crushed in OT. It was just a matter of time.
I am cool with anyone but Pens, Rags, and Bruins...will enjoy watching the Caps, Leafs, and Habs lose a little less |

I watched the 1st period of the Sharks/Oilers game and thought there was no way the Flyers, as currently constituted, could hang with the speed and skill of either of these teams. |

Also...Deharnais giving a shoutout to Briere
"You always do," Desharnais said after his goal at 18:15 of overtime. "That's the key. [Former NHL player] Daniel Briere once told me that he's always had success in the playoffs and that he visualized himself scoring goals and I did that tonight and I got the goal.["] |

Also...Deharnais giving a shoutout to Briere - YuenglingJagr
When the Flyers were in the Finals in 2010, we got to every game when doors opened and sat by the Flyers tunnel. Before every game, Briere would come out onto the bench with headphones, and just sit there. I am assuming he spent the time visualizing the game he was going to have. |
